“Donate Blood and Share Love Together” event was successfully held

Released date: 12-08-2021
  • The MTR (Macau) Recreation Club Community Care Team and the Macao Blood Transfusion Service ("MBTS") of the Health Bureau jointly organized the first “Donate Blood and Share Love Together” event at the Macao Light Rapid Transit (“Macao LRT”) Depot on 3 and 4 June 2021.  Staff from different departments showed substantial support to this meaningful activity.

The Blood Donation Vehicle of MBTS was parked at the entrance of the Depot Administration Building for two consecutive days, and a team of professional medical staff explained the steps and precautions of donating blood to every donor.  Nearly 50 packs of qualified blood had donated to MBTS, which demonstrated the spirit of “railway people”: caring for the community and contributing to the society.  We sincerely thank our colleagues for their selfless dedication and support for the blood donation activity.

Mr. Jeff Chan, General Manager (Macau LRT) said, “We hope the event can arouse the enthusiasm of our staff to give back to the society by participating in community service activities and our awareness on regular blood donation, which is beneficial to both the society and ourselves as a lifelong habit.”
